It’s Sadaqah Jariyah!

Help yourself by helping others worship

In the heart of every Islamic community, a mosque stands as a beacon of faith, hope, and unity. As old as Islam itself, mosques serve as a physical manifestation of our devotion to Allah (SWT) and provide a sacred space for spiritual growth, education, and community bonding.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) emphasized the significance of mosques by helping construct the first mosque in Medina. This noble act underscored the importance of designating a place of worship for Muslims worldwide.

A mosque offers far more than a mere house of worship. It is a treasured sanctuary that fosters individual enlightenment, education, and moral guidance. Within its blessed walls, we teach our children the wisdom of the Qur’an, gather to honor and worship Allah (SWT), and come together to celebrate special occasions such as holidays, weddings, and funerals.

As Muslims, we recognize the profound importance of these sacred institutions. But have you considered the benefits of building a mosque? The rewards are immense and ongoing: for every prayer recited within a mosque you’ve helped build, Allah (SWT) will grant you blessings in Jannah.

Beyond personal rewards, the community benefits greatly from a new mosque. Sadly, many of our brothers and sisters in the developing world struggle without access to a proper mosque. The Rohingya community is working tirelessly to change this reality.

Let us explore the benefits of building a mosque for a community in need:

It’s Sadaqah Jariyah!

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) taught us that our deeds on earth have a profound impact on our hereafter. He said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (continuing charity), knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him” (Muslim).

Building a mosque is a remarkable act of Sadaqah Jariyah, offering a perpetual stream of rewards. As long as the mosque stands, benefiting the community and facilitating worship, you will continue to receive blessings from Allah (SWT), extending into the Hereafter.

Consider the profound impact of building a mosque:

– Every prayer recited within its walls earns you rewards.

– Every seeker of knowledge who benefits from its teachings brings you blessings.

– Every community event, every marriage, and every joyful occasion celebrated within the mosque’s precincts multiplies your rewards.

By building a mosque, you create a lasting legacy, one that transcends generations and yields eternal rewards.

May Allah (SWT) bless our efforts to build a mosque that will serve as a beacon of hope, unity, and spiritual growth for our community.
